In order to ensure the smooth progress of cross-cultural communication and effectively overcome language and cultural barriers in cross-cultural communication, this work explores the theory and practical issues of English-Chinese translation from a cultural perspective, and systematically summarizes many related reference cases. Specifically, this work first summarizes the basic knowledge of cultural perspective and translation turn; secondly, it introduces the relevant contents of English-Chinese translation from the cultural perspective; then, it expounds in detail the English-Chinese subtitle translation of documentaries from the perspective of cultural turn; thirdly, it studies English-Chinese translation strategies based on the perspective of cross-cultural communication; Finally, taking "A Course on the Integration of Chinese and Western Cultures" and "The Bankruptcy Sisters" as examples, this paper studies the strategies of cultural identification and cultural back-translation in English-Chinese translation and the strategies of English-Chinese translation of culture-loaded words in American TV series subtitles. The publication of this work will have strong practical significance in promoting cultural exchanges and the development of translation around the world.
