In view of the problems existing in physical education in Chinese colleges and universities, this work puts forward innovative solutions based on multiple teaching methods, and provides an effective path for physical education teaching reform. This work mainly introduces the application and practice of multiple teaching methods in college physical education. First, it summarizes the current status and challenges of college physical education, and puts forward the necessity of introducing multiple teaching methods. Then, it discusses the application cases of situation teaching, gamified learning, flipped classroom and other teaching methods in physical education teaching in detail, and puts forward the implementation strategy. Finally, the effect evaluation and continuous optimization of multiple teaching methods in college physical education teaching are deeply studied. This work has important guiding significance for the innovation and development of college physical education in the new era, and has positive significance for improving the quality of physical education and promoting the all-round development of students.
