College English courses combined with ideological and political courses can help students distinguish right from wrong and solve the problem of "who to train, how to train people and for whom to train people". This work firstly analyzes the cognitive situation of college English teachers' ideological and political curriculum; Secondly, the implementation strategy of ideological and political teaching of college English courses is constructed from the perspectives of multi-modal teaching, the construction of "three-in-one education" pattern and the application of ASSURE mode. Finally, it summarizes and reflects on the current situation of ideological and political teaching in college English courses, and puts forward the path of teaching optimization. Based on the understanding of the current situation of college English teachers' ideological and political cognition in the curriculum, this work puts forward suggestions on promoting the construction of ideological and political construction in the curriculum from the level of teachers and schools, which can promote the improvement of college English teachers' ideological and political ability in the curriculum and the advancement of the task of cultivating morality and talents.
