In the new era, the society is in urgent need of animation professionals, and the requirements for talents are getting higher and higher. However, the traditional teaching methods can not achieve this goal, and the introduction of new teaching concepts and methods can meet the needs of students' ability development to a large extent. This work first analyzes the problems and improvement direction of the teaching model of animation major in colleges and universities in the new era; Then it discusses the impact of the development of new digital media on the innovative practice of animation teaching in colleges and universities. Again, the paper puts forward the application path of micro-class, online and offline mixed teaching in college animation teaching; Finally, this paper analyzes the curriculum construction of animation major and the construction strategy of innovative talent model.
